Hi There. My name is Liran and I’m a Funko POP! Collector from Israel. I began collecting POPS only a few years ago after my kids bought me my three first Pops on a trip to Europe and I just fell in love with those cute vinyl thingies. I currently own over 200 of them and I’m really running out of display space…

Funko POPs can be purchased in many places around the world. As a collector you are probably the luckiest if you are living in the United States where they are everywhere from GameStop to HotTopic, Wallgreens, Target and many other comics and geek stores.
U.S. Citizens are also lucky because many Funko products are only shipped within the US and for reasonable prices, for example the famous “Smugglers Bounty” Star Wars packs which feature a special POP as well as a T-Shirt, a patch, and other cool surprising items. You cannot buy those at other places unless you buy them from a private reseller on eBay and such which will cost you more and a costly shipping fee.

This is where Australian store Popcultcha comes in.
Popcultcha features both on real store as well as a web site which updates very frequently with all the latest products from Funko and many more manufacturers. They are selling Sci-Fi statues, busts, DVDs and Blu-rays, Comics and lots of other collectibles.

So… why shop at Popcultcha and what can I teach you about it?

1. Restricted Funko Pops

Not all POPs are created equal. Funko is creating some Pops exclusively for specific retail stores
in the US, such as GameStop, HotTopic, Wallmart, Amazon, Target, Barns & Nobles and others.

Those are intended to drive human traffic into those stores and web sites.    However, this is a
“Regional” thing. Some of those exclusives are made available via Popcultcha
web site to customers world-wide, excluding US and Canada. The POPs are the same, the sticker is
    not.
You will not get the “HotTopic” exclusive sticker with the POP so it might have a decreased
    value in the US market.

This is actually great news for all of us POP collectors not living in the U.S.
U.S. Exclusive Pops are marked (RS) in the product title. You can also search for RS Funko Pops
    directly on the web site.

Another form of exclusive is of course the “Chase”. Some POPs get a special variant. It comes in the same box as the regular POP, but has a round Chase sticker and a noticeable feature change such as Glow in the dark, different color, different accessories, removed helmet etc.

Chase versions are usually 1 to 6. Each box of six Pops of a type will contain five regulars and a Chase.
You cannot buy a Chase from Popcultcha directly, however if you buy a few of the same Pop you might get a change to get one. I only got a lucky Chase one time… and it was for an order I made for my son, but other people are luckier than me.

2.     Comic Con Exclusives

Popcultcha will have special sales for those so hard to get Comic Con exclusives. Those are usually slightly more expansive than common Pops, and you probably have to wait in the virtual store queue to have the chance to buy them, but still it is by far one of the best ways to get those jams.

3.     Shipping

As an Israeli collector shipping costs are taking a toll on the wallet. While sending a single POP across the U.S might cost a 5$ US, shipping the same Pop to Israel can cost between 20$ to 35$ on the horrifically expansive eBay Global Shipping program..
Shipping costs from Popcultcha (Australia) are lower which makes it more affordable and also include a tracking number (“Pack and Track”).
Another shipping option, which is required for larger orders, is “ECI” and might be twice as expensive as well as required to so through additional delivery operations which adds additional fees.Pack and Track is good enough, split orders to avoid ECI when possible.Packing is good. They use thick cardboard boxes, however those are not fail safe and if excessive pressure is places on them you will see it on the Pops boxes. No additional protection is supplied in the box.In my experience special orders such as Convention and Comic Con exclusives are often packed in two cardboard boxes and have better protection, but don’t expect it on regular orders.Popcultcha are really committed to their customers and will ship the products you ordered as they become available even if your order contain both “in stock” and Pre-order items. You will not pay for additional packages in the same order.

4.     Pennies from heaven

Customers of Popcultcha are getting awarded with site Pennies that can be used to place orders and get discounts. You get pennies when buying items (dependent on the product price, viewable next to the item in the cart), when leaving product review (on the product page you ordered) and using referral links like the one published above. You can view the status of your pennies in the Pennies options (you might need to wait for pennies to get approved) and use them when you select to make a purchase. The list of discount you can get when using your pennies is also found in the cart before checkout.

5.     Savings tips
The price
is always charged in Australian Dollars. You can change the currency view to help you decide if the price is right using your most known currency, but eventually you will be charged in AUD.You have the option to use a credit card or PayPal.Please note that the credit card company might charge you additional cost for currency conversion from your own currency. If you are using PayPal and you got a standing balance in another currency you should check the option to convert to AUD beforehand. 7.     Pre-Orders

Pre-orders are subjected to change! It is very often that a pre-ordered item will be delayed again
and again. Customer should be aware of that and check the state of pending orders.
At times order will be handled partially for in stock items and other pre order items will remain in
a waiting state. Those orders will show a status of “processing”.

8.     Taxes

Australia you will not be charged with the Australian tax and all prices will appear without it.

You should know your own country’s tax and tariffs as you will be charged accordingly when the
shipment arrives.
If your package includes both pre-orders and in stock items, you may pay for shipment ones, even
if price exceeds your country’s tax limits, and will be charged according to the items included in
the specific package. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!

9.     Wish List

Use the default wish list or create your own and save the items you may want to order later on.Remember that stock comes and goes… some items go and never come back, so don’t delay your
order.

items will be listed for a short time and you don’t want to miss them.
